Patch notes and build history
As of 31 October 2026 the Steam news feed carries three posts, all published before launch; no post-launch patch note has appeared yet.
No patch notes yet, and that is the finding
Croc 2 Kingdom of the Gobbos launched on 29 October 2026. Two days later, the Steam news feed for the game carries exactly three posts, and all three are pre-launch announcements: the release-date reveal, a Russian-language launch article from the same day, and the launch post itself.
| Date | Post | Type |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Oct 2026 | "Croc 2 Kingdom of the Gobbos takes off on Croctober 29!" | Development complete, release date |
| 1 Oct 2026 | Release date article (Russian) | Regional store post |
| 29 Oct 2026 | Launch post | Release day |
There is no version number, no changelog and no hotfix listed. This page will stay thin until Argonaut publishes something, and it is dated so you can tell the difference between "no patch" and "page not updated".
What a launch-week patch would usually fix
Two days is early for a first patch on a multi-platform release, but the categories are predictable: platform-specific crashes, save-file edge cases from Steam Cloud conflicts, and controller detection on unusual setups. If a patch lands, it will show up on the Steam news feed before anywhere else.
The store page itself shows no build notes, and Steam's patch history for the game is empty at the time of checking. That is consistent with a launch build that has not needed a hotfix in the first 48 hours.
How to check for yourself
- Open the game's Steam page and read the news panel, not the store description — patches appear as news posts.
- Check the Steam client's downloads page for the game: a patch shows as a queued or completed download with a build ID.
- If you are on console, the platform's own update history is the only place patches appear; the Steam feed will not mention them.
The build this site covers
Everything on this site refers to the 29 October 2026 launch build. If a patch changes the achievement behaviour, the boss arenas or the requirements, the affected pages get a new checked date — the achievements table and the system requirements page are the two most likely to move first.
What would count as a real change
Worth distinguishing from a patch: the Croc2pedia is in-game content and could be extended without a version bump, and a DLC announcement would be a store page event rather than a patch note. Neither has happened as of 31 October 2026.
