Sailor, Cossack, Caveman and Inca
The mainland is split into four villages: the coastal Sailor Village, the wintry Cossack Village, the prehistoric Caveman Village and the mountaintop Inca Village.
Four villages, four Gobbo cultures
Argonaut's description is unusually specific about this: the mainland holds four distinct villages, each home to a different Gobbo culture — the coastal Sailor Village, the wintry Cossack Village, the prehistoric Caveman Village and the mountaintop Inca Village. Each one has its own missions, its own Guardian, and its own set of achievements.
| Village | Culture | Guardians | Signature achievements |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sailor Village | Coastal, docks and boats | Soveena the Squid, Cannon Boat Keith | Simon Says, trampoline Gobbo, boat race |
| Cossack Village | Wintry, snow and ice | Flavio the Thermal Fish, Lava Lamp Larry | Build a snowman, save Larry |
| Caveman Village | Prehistoric, jungle and lava | Venus Fly Von-Trappe, the Village Masher | Ginger soda, mash the Masher |
| Inca Village | Mountaintop ruins | Baron Dante | Burping contest, the mountain fall |

Sailor Village
The starting village and the one with the most side content. It sits on a coast: wooden docks, boats, shallow water and a Gobbo population that runs a market. Swap Meet Pete's General Store is here, which makes Sailor Village the game's economic hub as well as its tutorial.
Four achievements come out of ordinary village life rather than combat: Say Anything (82.4%) for a game of Simon Says, Springin' In The Terrain (84.5%) for out-jumping the trampoline Gobbo, There's Something About Pete (85.2%) for buying anything at all, and The Boat Book (16.5%) for winning the boat race after leading the first lap.
The two Guardians are the gentlest in the game by completion rate — Soveena at 59.9%, Cannon Boat Keith at 57.4% — but their restricted versions are not. Crate Expectations (33.1%) and Cannonball Fun (33.9%) are the first place where the game asks for execution rather than exploration.
Cossack Village
The winter village. Snow changes movement: landings slide, and the vertical shafts are built around the triple jump. Flavio the Thermal Fish guards the lava-and-ice arena, and Lava Lamp Larry is a rescue rather than a boss.
Three achievements define the village: The Greatest Snowman (42.3%) for helping build a snowman, Saving Lava Lamp Larry (28.9%) for the rescue, and License to Chill (11.2%) for doing the rescue with only the first four big ice cubes. A Fish Called Flavio (31.6%) and Cloudy with a Chance of Ice Cubes (18.6%) cover the fish.

Caveman Village
The prehistoric village, and the point where the game stops being gentle. Lava is a constant hazard, enemy density rises, and both Guardians use a limited-resource arena: Venus Fly Von-Trappe is fought with ice-related props and the Village Masher with buckets.
Quest for Ginger Soda (18.1%) is the village's signature side quest, The Sound of Venus (17.5%) is the base fight, and Little Shop of Rollers (16.3%) plus Jurassic Spark (9.7%) are the restricted versions. Mash of the Titans (16.4%) covers the Masher's straightforward kill.
Inca Village
The endgame. Mountaintop ruins, a tower climb, and Baron Dante waiting at the peak. Three achievements belong to the mountain itself: The Baron Who Fell To Earth (13.2%) for knocking him off, Dante's Peak (12.5%) for the peak fight, and Barons of the Fall (7.4%) for doing it without damage or a missed opportunity. Untaken (8.5%) adds the constraint of never letting the Inventor be carried away.
There is also a burping contest — There Will Be Burps (14.2%) — which is the village's reminder that Croc 2 is still a comedy. GooFellas (6.7%), the rarest achievement in the game, belongs to Goo Man Chu's tower in this region.
How the villages connect
Each village is a self-contained arc: levels, a rescue or side quest, then a Guardian. Beating a Guardian opens the next region, and Swap Meet Pete's Crystal Ball lets you teleport back once a village is unlocked. That is the mechanism that makes 100% clean-up practical — you are never more than one teleport from a missed crystal.
The levels overview explains the level types inside each village, and the guardians page covers the fights in detail.
